Personal Experience

Vinay Mavinkurve is a seasoned litigation attorney licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with extensive experience in matrimonial litigation, complex commercial disputes, and high-stakes civil litigation, which he handles on a case-by-case basis. He has successfully adjudicated multiple trials and is known for his strategic, courtroom-ready approach to resolving complex legal matters.

Mr. Mavinkurve’s practice also encompasses business and real estate law, with a particular emphasis on complex commercial and residential transactions. He regularly advises clients on sophisticated business matters involving contract drafting and negotiation, financing, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and transactional structuring, drawing on his litigation background to proactively identify and mitigate risk.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Mavinkurve served as Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Delaware Court of Common Pleas, where he drafted judicial opinions and bench memoranda and participated in a broad range of civil and criminal proceedings before both the Court of Common Pleas and the Superior Court of Delaware.

Following his clerkship, Mr. Mavinkurve joined a reputable law firm as an associate attorney, where he drafted, negotiated, and reviewed a wide array of real property instruments, including partnership and corporate trust documents, in connection with the acquisition and disposition of residential and commercial real estate. Concurrently, he maintained an active civil litigation practice, representing clients in state courts throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with significant exposure to motion practice, discovery disputes, settlement conferences, and multiple trials.

More recently, Mr. Mavinkurve has focused a substantial portion of his practice on New Jersey matrimonial and family law, handling complex divorce and domestic relations matters involving equitable distribution of assets, spousal support, child custody, and domestic violence proceedings. He brings a disciplined litigation mindset to family law cases, particularly where significant assets, business interests, or contentious issues are involved.
